What a day out that was to Peartree Farm and I only did the day not the whole weekend camping like some of the other members did.  
PearTree is not for the faint hearted in fact it is probably the most challenging site we visit on a regular basis with sheer drops off of what seem like cliff faces all set in established woodland.

When I first turned up in my trusty old un off road ready Discovery there were only those that had braved towing caravans onto the rather soggy muddy campsite the night before in attendance.  So we sat around having a brew seeing who else would turn up to see how brave they were climbing these steep hills around us or trailing along tracks barely wide enough for the Land Rovers whilst looking down steep ravines and to see who had brought along a spare pair of pants to change into afterwards. 

A good crowd turned up in short order with a total of nine vehicles braving the course.  I decided to ride along in one to get a birds eye view of the action seeing as my Discovery would not have even made it onto the site let alone driven around it!  
I enjoyed this ride along for approx 10 minutes until the Landy I was in nearly slid off of the track into the ravine which saw me walking around the course in no time at all taking pictures instead! 

We saw dead ends found in the most unsuitable of places causing the caravan of motors to find the smallest areas in which to turn around in!  Mud was deep enough to find the range of Land Rovers that had attended getting stuck axle deep needing winching out and there was a slip slide away that saw one very experienced driver sliding front end into a tree proving the fact that we can all be caught out at any time off road.

Personally I fell ass over tit whilst trying to walk up and take pictures of a stuck motor getting covered in mud for my efforts!  Only one engine boiled up that I am aware off so all in all a great day playing :)
